Best barbecue in town. No one else gives you more for your money than Fatman's. Their white sauce is simply the best around, goes great with the pulled pork. They seem to stay busy but always serve you fast and are very friendly. Definitely one of the best quick-serve restaurants in Montgomery. Update: I'm yet to find better pulled pork anywhere in town. Nice to see the expanded menu options. Can't help but wonder what would happen if they ever offered burgers 🤔

Overall not bad, but I expected more. I've received both praise and warning about Fat Man's. After trying it out for myself, I decided that it's not bad, but not incredible. Generally, the ribs were good, a little tough for my taste, but they fell off the bone just fine. The barbecue sauce wasn't terrible, but also wasn't terrific (I'd recommend the white sauce over the traditional). The potato salad was pretty good, but the Mac and Cheese had no flavor. In a word, I was simply whelmed with the food, not overwhelmed or underwhelmed, just whelmed. All things considered, would I go back? Sure, if I was with friends who wanted to go, I would go with, but definitely not on my own.

This place does it right. Order and before you can get the sweet tea your plate is ready. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Clean restaurant and great food. I haven’t gotten a side that wasn’t good. Parking is a little goofey and of course they r busy at certain times of the day but that just means they r good. Gonna go back and try there breakfast. Kind of disappointed they don’t have breakfast tacos but again u guys may not like them here.

Cheap, with decent size portions. But, the food is mostly cooked in outside electric smokers and then wrapped in foil and stored in large ice coolers which line the floor adjacent to the serving counter. The BBQ sandwiches are prepared with a large portion of densely packed pork, pre-wrapped in tin foil and then taken from a warming station behind the counter. It is necessary to remove the top bun which is stuck to the meat (and usually toasted too much) to add their commercially jugged BBQ sauce (Cattleman's). The pickles are self service from a hidden pickle jar with long tongs sitting to next to them. The sauce is provided in little paper cups and never enough. You will definitely get your monies and stomach's worth. They close too early also.

Good deals on good BBQ. Ribs are great as well as the sandwiches. Old but clean with friendly staff. Recommend.
